Ishasha Sector

Ishasha Sector is a unique region in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in southwestern Uganda near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. It’s well known for its remote, untouched beauty and fewer tourist crowds, making it perfect for off-the-beaten-path safaris.

The main highlight of Ishasha is its tree-climbing lions, a rare behavior seen in only a few places in Africa. These lions often rest in fig and acacia trees during the day, offering unforgettable photo opportunities.
